Description of Survey

Firstly, thanks for your help with my research!

This survey is part of a research project conducted at the University of Toronto by Dr. Laurel Besco. We would like to know your opinions about a number of different issues to better understand the role that norms play in shaping corporate action. Results will be used to provide recommendations for better environmental policy.

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.  Your privacy is important, so your answers will be kept anonymous and will not be publicly linked to you personally or to your company unless you indicate you are willing for them to be. Electronic data will be stored in accordance with the University of Toronto’s data security standards, on a personal computer, which is password protected within a locked office.

You may withdraw simply by closing the survey window at any point while completing the survey. After the survey is complete, it is not possible to withdraw data because the responses are anonymous.

To see a summary of the results of the survey, you can contact me using the information below.

After they survey we will be doing in-person or phone interviews to give you a chance to explain what you think more clearly. If you are willing, please provide contact information at the end of the survey. This is optional, and will not be connected with your answers on the survey (your responses will still be anonymous).

Should you have any questions about your rights as a participant you may contact the Office of Research Ethics at the University of Toronto (416-946-3273; ethics.review@utoronto.ca).
