Author Peter ter Weeme

Peter ter Weeme

Based in Delhi and working globally, Peter is strategic counsel and a client lead at Junxion, known for his expertise in business strategy and planning, environmental and broader sustainability management issues, marketing and communications, and market research. His international experience spans the world of corporate, government and non-profit clients. Peter also holds an MBA (with distinction) specializing in Environmental Management.

Peter previously served as the Vice-President of Communications and Marketing at Mountain Equipment Co-op, Canada’s largest consumer co-operative and a leader in social and environmental responsibility. As an active member of the executive team, he was responsible for MEC’s communications, marketing, market research, and French adaptation and translation strategies. He also previously co-founded with David Kuefler the Insight Group, a mission-based communications and cause marketing firm.

A recipient of Business in Vancouver’s “40 under 40″ award, Peter is an active member of various progressive business and community engagement initiatives. He co-chaired the Board of the Vancity Community Foundation and is the previous chair of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. He is also advisor to a number of mission-based enterprises. Peter is a frequent public speaker and a regular contributor to several publications and sustainability blogs, including Sustainable Life Media, Vancouver Observer and World Changing. He has also hosted a weekly sustainability-themed radio show, Green With Envy
