Michael Zabaneh

Michael is currently Senior Vice President at Reclay StewardEdge and is an international strategic business and sustainable development expert, with 17 years experience across Canada, Europe, MENA and Asia.

Michael’s work has most recently been focused on public and private sector climate change, sustainable development, circular economy, and Cleantech advisory projects and investments as Director, Climate Change & Sustainability Services at Ernst & Young and as Vice President of Business Development & Strategy at Bee’ah, a UAE based integrated waste management company. Michael has also held senior advisory roles for key Canadian and international circular economy and climate change projects with the United Nations Social Commission, the European Commission, British Colombia’s Ministry of Environment and the City of Hamilton.

Michael has worked to strategically develop key high level sustainability impact oriented projects that are pioneering to their respective markets. Working closely with senior management teams, he has supported the development and implementation of climate mitigation & sustainability policy, strategies and cleantech infrastructure; helping governments and organizations maximize sustainable impact, create focused socioeconomic development programs, drive circular economies, capitalize on market opportunities, generate new revenues, reduce costs while mitigating reputational, social and climate related risks.
