Why are companies making inaccurate and perhaps even deceptive claims in their Sustainability Reports? What interest do companies have in producing false reports?

Overall, I think the Starbucks 2010 Report shows that Starbucks is making progress, though I feel the Company's reporting could be more forward looking and disclose more specific plans to achieve tough targets.
