In addition to directing The Resource Innovation Group, Bob is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management at the University of Oregon where he teaches systems thinking and global warming planning and policy. Bob also teaches at the Presidio Graduate School. His expertise is in systems dynamics and change.
Bob is the author of Leading Change toward Sustainability: A Change Management Guide for Business, Government, and Civil Society (Greenleaf Publishing, 2003) describes how organizations can make the transition to sustainability. Just six months after its release, Leading Change was deemed one of the “ten most important publications in sustainability” by a GlobeScan survey of international sustainability experts. His most recent book, The Power of Sustainable Thinking: How To Create a Positive Future for the Climate, The Planet, Your Organization and Your Life, (Earthscan Publishing, 2008) focuses on the importance and methods for changing personal thinking and behavior to combat climate change. In 2010 Audubon Magazine named it one of the eleven most important books in climate change.
Bob writes regular columns on global warming for the Eugene Register-Guard and the Salem Statesman-Journal newspapers and is a frequent speaker at workshops and conferences.
