Author Pong Leung

Pong Leung

Pong is a founding member of The Natural Step Canada. As a Senior Associate, Pong delivers programs and services to support role model organizations in their pursuit of sustainability.

Pong has worked with a wide range of clients to share his expertise on sustainability, governance and organizational learning including a strategic positioning and organizational change program with ISL Engineering and Land Services, a comprehensive training and visioning program for the Landmark Group of Builders, and an award-winning broad-based community visioning and planning initiative with the City of Williams Lake. Some current and past clients include the City of Edmonton, the Federal Office of Greening Government Operations, Sheridan Institute of Advanced Design and Technology, the City of Calgary, B.C Housing, Morguard Investments, City of Saskatoon, B.C. Hydro, Hatch Engineering, Halifax Regional Municipality, the Resort Municipality of Whistler, the Town of Canmore, Lilydale, the Nickel Institute, Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, Edmonton Airports amongst many others.

Before rejoining TNS in 2008, Pong was Program Director of the Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability graduate program at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden. The program is based in the concepts of The Natural Step Framework and develops leadership skills and product innovation. In addition to this role, Pong also led a successful year-long educational engagement for change agents in the European chemical industry.

Pong completed his Masters of Science in Environmental Management and Policy at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University in Sweden and his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.

Outside the office, Pong enjoys reading and spending time with his family and young son Liam!
