Eight Exciting Sustainable Businesses That Use Circular Thinking (Part II)
How eight businesses have put the circular economy into practice.
I have been working with Bioregional since Sept 2015 as Commercial Development Manager to scale up our sustainability work across a wide range of sectors including corporate businesses, new build developments, and the leisure sector. My role cuts across Bioregional’s diverse work streams taking the lead in identifying and following up new and existing opportunities as well as working directly with colleagues on project delivery.
Experience
With over 8 years’ experience, I have provided guidance on sustainability strategies for more than 20 companies including John Lewis, Tesco, Costain, Grant Thornton, Aramark, Brakes, Samsung & 3M. I have also interviewed the executive teams of major brands such as M&S, Heineken, Kingfisher, Anglian Water, Wates and Premier Farnell and provided critical feedback on the degree of integration of sustainability strategy to their core business strategy.
I enjoy challenging the companies I work with through providing strategic advice about their sustainability and CSR programmes; and for those few that are ready for it, really challenging them to rethink and transform their business into a truly sustainable business.
Areas of Focus
My focus areas include Circular Economy – covering business models, innovative technologies, emerging trends, circular cities, enablers such as digital technology, education, infrastructure, legislation. I am also interested in mega trends and their impact on sustainability strategies, as well as identifying the core purpose of business and linking this to sustainable, circular business strategies.
